Crazy hair day!

Every year for homecoming Dennis' school lets the little ones come and cheer on the field. Charleigh loves it. Piper was fine with it until the cheerleader went to the away side of the field and they had their mascot with them. It was an eagle. Lets just say Piper does not like mascots. Poor baby didn't want to get back on the field until we told her that it flew away. Charleigh did a good job of watching her little sister.

I love my Piper girl. She is so funny. Lately she has been wearing that hat all the time. It doesn't matter if it is 100 degrees out or not. I can not believe that she is going to be 3 years old in a little over a month.

My Goal.

OK, so I know that I have been saying this for awhile but this time I have to do it. My goal is to get into shape. I am going to lose at least 15lbs by Christmas. I want to get myself and my family healthy. So this is the last time you will see looking all gross. Wish me luck.

This is Charleigh's 1st day of school. They always go way out for the 1st day. The theme for this year is the rennaissance. Charleigh was so excited to start school that she had her clothes picked out two weeks before. I am glad that she likes school so much.

Welcome to Miami

This is Miami from the top deck of the cruise ship. We decided to come to Miami a day early because we didn't want to have to worry about our flight causing us to miss our boat. We got to Fort Lauderdale Sunday morning and a friend came and picked us up and brought us to Miami. One of the first things you notice besides the humdity is all the tall buildings. That and there are not many white people. We had fun going to this out door Mall that had everything you could think of.

This is Maimi from our Hotel window.

But one of the best things was eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp.
We did go to South beach but didn't stay long.

I really had a fun time is Miami. It was a great start to the cruise.

This is Amy, Rachel and I the two days before the cruise. We went up to a hotel near the airport because our flight was at 6:15am and we didn't want to have to get up at 1:00am to get to the airport on time. That night we went and got our toes done so that they looked beautiful for the cruise. We all were really to get our trip started.

This summer we didn't get to the beach much but the girls loved it when we did. Piper has been to the beach before but doesn't remember. When she first saw the beach she thought it was a big pool. We could hardly get her to follow us so we could set things up. As soon as we set our stuff down she strips off her dress and runs to the water. She loves the waves and everything. Charleigh loves the beach too but for a whole other reason. SHELLS!! She loves to look for shells and rocks all day. It is nice that she can be so relaxed because I don't have to worry about both kids drowning.
It is amazing what you find when you are cleaning out the attic. This was Charleigh's little mouse costume from when she was about Piper's age. Piper and Charleigh were having a lot of fum exploring everything we brought down. I guess cleaning the artic can be fun.

I was at Bj's and I found these nightgowns on sale. And as luck would have it I found both of there sizes. I have to say Charleigh was a lot more excited then Piper. Charleigh loves nightgowns and every one in a while it is fun to match your little sister. I think they look super cute. Charleigh even asked if I could get them matching dresses.

My Little butterfly catcher. I have never seen a child that was so good at catching a butterfly with there bare hands. She would find one that was close enough for her to reach and then she would grab the wings. She had captured about 5 of them before we could get her to leave then alone. I can only think of two that lived to tell the tale. Poor butterfly.

FINALLY!

This is our shed and it has been this way for about 3 years and finally on June 23th reinforcements arrived. Thanks to my brother-in-law Mike and father-in-law Marty the dream of a finished shed has finally come true. The only thing left to do is paint the doors, but on a step and put up the shelves on the inside. Man I can see the finish line. Thank you Mike and Marty for all your hard work.

I want to wear that one....

My friend gave me a bag of clothes that her granddaughter had outgrown and that maybe Charleigh could fit them. Well as I was going thru to see what was in the bag I found a bunch of bras. I tell ya Charliegh zeroed in on them quick and in a hurry. She had to try everyone of them on. And of course in our house it is sister see sister do. Lucky for us they had one that was small enough for little miss Piper to just barely fit. Lets just say that was yesterday and she is still wearing it. Silly girls one day they will know what a pain in the butt those things really are but for right now they feel so grown up.

Our Mini Vacation

This is Chris the rabbit. Dennis thought that it would be fun to get the girls a rabbit so we took them to the pet store and let them pick one out. I guess what I should say was that Charleigh got to pick one out. The first question she asked was if it was a girl or a boy. So before we even payed for the poor rabbit it had been dubbed Chris. When we got him home the girls wanted to play with him but of course rabbits don't really play. About the only thing he did was run for cover and poop alot. Piper just wanted to watch him jump so she would hit him on the rump and say "JUMP" Poor Chris.

Today we took a little mini vacation the Baltimore Aquarium. We had so much fun. We left around 7:30 and we finally got there around 9:50. It was a pain in the butt finding the parking garage but after we finally found it and we were set. Our first stop was the shark and Manta Ray tank. This was Piper's favorite stop. Then it was onto the rest of the fish although we didn't get much in before we went to the dolphin
show. It was so fun watching the girls. I think that was my favorite part. After we got our fill of fish we went out and rode a chessie. When we went to go home we got lost and ended up in Fort McHenry. It was fun walking around and looking at where the Star Spangled Banner was written. We also got to help with a replica of the orignal flag. We really had a great time.

Charleigh's last day of school. Oh happy day! No more getting up early for two whole months. Charleigh did really well in school she passed with all A's & B's. Dennis made her these really cool
pancakes.

Well I let my hair grow as long as I could. It was starting to drive me mad so I cut it. I decided to donate my lovley locks to "Locks of love" I hope that it will make a nice wig. So what do ya think?
Turned out a lot better then I feared.

We have been trying to potty train. She has been doing so well that we went out and got her a few pairs of panties. She had a hard time picking them out. She finally decided on My little pony and Dora. She couldn't wait to put then on. She just smiled and said "i so cute "

This is Charleigh on her first day of school. I can not believe that at the end of this week she will be all done with 2nd grade. She has grown so much this last year. I am so proud of my Charleigh girl.
