I can't believe Piper is 5!!!

This year Piper has been busy as well. This past summer she was asked to join the competitive team for Gymnastics. Recently she did a demo where she was a cute little elf.

She is also taking Ballet. It amazes me that she remembers all the terms. She is learning so quickly.

Charleigh has been a busy girl!!

Charleigh is in 5th grade this year and is busier then ever. Between book reports, homework, singing lessons, activity days, and presentations at school we seem to be forever busy. This month she had three performances. One was for dance which was Happy feet. Doesn't she make the cutest penguin!! She is very good at tap!

 Her next performance was a 4th and 5th grades take on snow white. They did a really good job. Charleigh was witch hazel. From where I was sitting I really couldn't get a very good picture.

Her last performance was her vocal music concert. Their opening number was Hot Chocolate from the movie Polar Express. They did really well. Charleigh is very expressive when she sings.

She is working hard to do well in everything she does....I am very proud of her!!

our new floor!!

Our poor living room floor was in need of something new. Our wonderful dog decided he would water our rug and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't seem to get the smell or stain out of the carpet. So a friend of mine got me addicted to a sight called Pintrest! Love it.....anyway as I was looking thru some pins I saw a picture where someone had used paper bags on their floor. It looked really neat so Dennis and I decided to give it a try.

This is the finished product. We also painted the molding and made me my wonderful pallet shelves! i have such a good hubby and I think the floor came out great. I will have to take a picture once we get everything put back.

It has been forever

 It has been awhile since I have posted. Most of that has just been pure laziness. So lets see.. things that have changed.
  Charleigh is almost done with school ans saying goodbye to the 4th grade. She has done really well and I am sure her last report card will be great. She just recently did what they call "mini society". It is where the kids start a society and create a business. Charleigh decided to do a candy sushi business.  She sold out and she received a  reward for the best looking shop!!! She was really excited. In a few weeks she is going to be going to her first overnight camp. She is going to be gone for a whole week. I am going to be a mess but this is something that she really wanted to do.  She will also be starting voice lessons this summer.
  Piper has been busy with gymnastics and has been asked to join the team!! She will start team the week of June 20th. There will be two meets one in Dover and the other at her own gym. I am hoping she will work hard and do well. She has lots of talent. She has also been busy being naughty. I really don't know what I am going to do with girl.
Dennis is busy with school and going to school to get his masters. I know he will be thankful when it is done.
 As for myself I have been busy trying to lose weight and get into shape.

A Few Saturdays ago we went to a bowling party for a little boy we go to church with.  They had rented a small little bowling ally for all the kids and this was the sign on it.

Gymnastics

Our little gymnast is moving up in the world. She has moved up to the turbo tumblers!!! That is a class for the 5-6 year olds. Monday was her first class with her new teacher and new friends. It was fun to watch her perform so well and I was thrilled when her teacher came and found me after class and told me how well she had done. Olympics here we come!!!

Christmas!!!!

This year Christmas seems to have flown by. I feel like I never even got to enjoy the Christmas season this year. It was one thing right after the other. But in the end we had a good Christmas. This year our friend Mary spent Christmas with us. She and the girls made these really cute reindeer that held reindeer food. It was funny to watch how the girls opened their gifts this year. Piper would slowly open them one by one and say something nice about each gift while Charleigh tore thru them. I can only guess that because Charleigh is such a pro at it. Needless to say it took forever for Piper to open her gifts. But it was nice to know that she loved everything she got.

 Dennis made these. Didn't he do a wonderful job!!!!  Please ignore the messy table. Apparently nobody told Dennis you don't take those kinds of pictures when people can see the mess.

 So we got snow on Christmas night and the following day. This is a picture on the 3rd day after the winds came. Needless to say we didn't go anywhere for a few days.
