Welcome to Miami

This is Miami from the top deck of the cruise ship. We decided to come to Miami a day early because we didn't want to have to worry about our flight causing us to miss our boat. We got to Fort Lauderdale Sunday morning and a friend came and picked us up and brought us to Miami. One of the first things you notice besides the humdity is all the tall buildings. That and there are not many white people. We had fun going to this out door Mall that had everything you could think of.

This is Maimi from our Hotel window.

But one of the best things was eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp.
We did go to South beach but didn't stay long.

I really had a fun time is Miami. It was a great start to the cruise.

This is Amy, Rachel and I the two days before the cruise. We went up to a hotel near the airport because our flight was at 6:15am and we didn't want to have to get up at 1:00am to get to the airport on time. That night we went and got our toes done so that they looked beautiful for the cruise. We all were really to get our trip started.

This summer we didn't get to the beach much but the girls loved it when we did. Piper has been to the beach before but doesn't remember. When she first saw the beach she thought it was a big pool. We could hardly get her to follow us so we could set things up. As soon as we set our stuff down she strips off her dress and runs to the water. She loves the waves and everything. Charleigh loves the beach too but for a whole other reason. SHELLS!! She loves to look for shells and rocks all day. It is nice that she can be so relaxed because I don't have to worry about both kids drowning.
It is amazing what you find when you are cleaning out the attic. This was Charleigh's little mouse costume from when she was about Piper's age. Piper and Charleigh were having a lot of fum exploring everything we brought down. I guess cleaning the artic can be fun.

I was at Bj's and I found these nightgowns on sale. And as luck would have it I found both of there sizes. I have to say Charleigh was a lot more excited then Piper. Charleigh loves nightgowns and every one in a while it is fun to match your little sister. I think they look super cute. Charleigh even asked if I could get them matching dresses.

My Little butterfly catcher. I have never seen a child that was so good at catching a butterfly with there bare hands. She would find one that was close enough for her to reach and then she would grab the wings. She had captured about 5 of them before we could get her to leave then alone. I can only think of two that lived to tell the tale. Poor butterfly.

FINALLY!

This is our shed and it has been this way for about 3 years and finally on June 23th reinforcements arrived. Thanks to my brother-in-law Mike and father-in-law Marty the dream of a finished shed has finally come true. The only thing left to do is paint the doors, but on a step and put up the shelves on the inside. Man I can see the finish line. Thank you Mike and Marty for all your hard work.
